Bernd:

Great choice of two Himalayan mountain airports...been to one of the two (Kathmandu), so long ago in the distant past, but the (unforgettable) memories are still somewhat fresh in the mind....

And, I've been thinking of getting that Aerosoft Paro, for a long while, but never got to it. I read, just now, a bit of review, about it there, which says it all, "...In wrapping up this review I'd have to say Paro is like that bottle of hot sauce sitting in your refrigerator....(...🙂...)...It is there to give you a thrill unlike anything else!..." [The emoticon, here, is mine, of course, and not part of the review...]

It appears, you landed expertly into Paro...(I understand, there is no ILS there, and, also, it seems, until a few years ago, "...so treacherous is the landing that only eight pilots in the world are qualified to land there..."),...so, now, we make it "nine"...🙂...!!

Regarding (your) IL-76, a member, here, had (recently) pointed me, earlier, to the  YouTube Glass-Chin view videos of it...

For fun, e.g. you may look up "NAVIGATOR SEAT IL-76 VIDEO"...that leads to two ~3 min clips...one "takeoff" and one "low-pass"...(For the 3:03 min clip: I like that IL-76 Captain...(cool uniform...🙂...), anyway, pre-takeoff-roll, quite amiably he's (probably) guiding or/and correcting someone in the Right Seat...and gives that final hand-wave forward to start the roll...(IL-76 is surely "beast" of a plane)...!

Finally, next to see, how such scenery, appears in the new SIM, we'll know in the next few days, maybe,...🙂....

Many thanks, P_7878 and Patrick.

P_7878, I will definitely watch those videos, thanks for the tip. I have never been to Kathmandu, so your experience must have been quite something. The only place in the Himalayas I have ever been to is Gilgit in Pakistan.

I'm not allowed to tell you more, but when it comes to this region in the new sim, you will not be disappointed. Tomorrow we'll know more 😉

Coooeee! What a backdrop!😳 Lovely set Bernd1151. Judging by the unnecessary shadow on the tail fin one of my paints has somehow got into XP. 😄

Hahaha, I had no idea, Ed. It came standard with this freeware plane and I like it a lot 🙂
