Which clearly shows that the higher ups at MS pushed them to release prematurely.

The FSX SDK took about 3 years to complete.  BTW - ALL software is released prematurely.

Cheers

Didn't our beloved FSX supposedly also barely have an SDK?

And it was only available in the Deluxe edition, unlike MSFS where the SDK is available to all.

Let me try to understand this:

People complain that the included airplanes are god awful outside of 2 or 3, the response from the white knights is "what sim has ever had great default planes? Wait for 3rd party!!!!111". Then when people point out that the SDK is incomplete, the response is "but FSX took 3 years for an SDK"?

Good lord the mental gymnastics required by some of you is actually insane. When we launched our product, the SDK was the #1 thing we focused on because of how important it was for the success of our platform. MSFS success lies in the hands of the 3rd party developers and you guys think it's OK to launch with something thats not even half complete!?

I actually can't believe this is OK by this community.

The SDK isn't complete... nowhere close. Learn to have some standards, please.

Umm, where did I say otherwise??? Did you mean to quote someone else?

Downloaded MSFS_SDK_Installer_0.5.1.0.msi but it gives a Windows installer error.
