The release version seems not to deliver any SDK. I could be wrong, but I haven't found any trace of it.

That is a pity, the big developers has it, but not us smaller developer.

sdk is not ready for prime time yet.

Which clearly shows that the higher ups at MS pushed them to release prematurely.

Well yea but what else is new, right? personally I dont think they planned on  releasing THIS soon...I think they decided a number of months ago to move it up due to better timing with Covid-19 and video game sales going through the roof lately.

Well so far it’s kind of hidden. You can enable developer mode, then under Help there’s a direct link to the download of the SDK. there hasn’t been an official announcement about this yet

good news hopefully allow a variety of changes to the sim

The SDK is available as a download link through that help menu subset under SDK Installer .

A copy of Simconnect.dll is in that download as well

Which part is not ready? Liveries? Airport designer? Mission planner? Aircraft converter from FSX and Prepar3d? New Aircraft Blender converter tools? Samples?

I was just about to write that. Just as on the alpha and beta forums, I suspect there's going to be a lot of people writing that XY or Z is not in the SIM, when quite possibly the issue is that they are not sure where to find it.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

It's there, you have to go digging for it.

Options Menu > Developers (at the bottom) enable it and you'll get a black menu bar at the top
