August 21, 20205 yr Sorry, bit self indulgent this but like a lot of people moving over to this from XP, I've spent a couple of days moaning about lack of this system and that system and this not being quite right and that being all wrong but... last night I was flying over scotland at 15000 feet, into some clouds, saw precipitation land on the window and freeze. When I turned windscreen heating on, it melted. It was such a little thing, but so beautifully rendered and detailed that it made me realise for the first time what the potential of this sim is. I took a photo on my phone as I was so wowed by it but can't post it on here. So yeah, get an alt knob in the G58 already but... yeah, nice job. Edited August 21, 20205 yr by revporl

August 21, 20205 yr Couldn't agree more. And I had several moments like that myself. After cursing about how impractical the joystick setup was, I kept discovering little things. It took me way back to FS4 with ASD. Yesterday I had a fully grown A320 instructor pilot in my office, smiling like a child. He was flying a Cirrus over his house, his parent's house, along the coastline. He is completely unbiased and never touched a PC based simulator before. Very satisfying to witness. After three days I see the potential. I think this sim will mature better than several of its predecessors. Too bad the main folders are (still?) locked out.

Fantastic flight simulator for sure and I've been into this hobby for over 20 years, never seen anything like this... truly amazing! Regards Paul EGCC

Over the Grand Canyon night before last I took a phone video of my screen. Showed guys at work (own a PC shop) and they were impressed. Ended up being called to sales area three times yesterday to show customers coming in for new gaming rigs, or upgrades that specifically mentioned this sim. Guess I am officially the msfs guy 👍
August 21, 20205 yr My windshield wipers in the 787 were blown off during acrobatic maneuvers. Not sure if it was a bug or not, but one moment they were wiping, the next they were totally gone. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
