So you have the ability to trapezoid the image to minimize vertical skewing? And horizontally you would be shortening the real life distances as you progress to the sides to minimize stretching? That sounds like a good workaround. Is it done interactively, or by changing values in either a configure file, or menu sliders? I could see that being useful when changing aspect ratios to accomadate ultra widescreens.

I get that the jet you highlighted is a little less stretched, but how can you accept the fisheye induced exaggerated verticals on those buildings on the right side?

Maybe the immediate focus needed to ship away from the serious simmers for a bit, and expand the user base to those who are willing to contribute money to keep things going. What do I mean? Serious simmers spend money, lots of it. They buy airports, aircraft, expensive hardware to operate them, add-ons that provide immersion such as ai atc, mods for weather, scenery packs, myriads of controllers, upgraded hardware ... the list goes on. The problem is that Microsoft/Asobo do not see a dollar from it. Why? Serious simmers as a general rule don't want to support the in game marketplace, they prefer to purchase from third party vendors like they always have done. It seems even half of the serious simmers on here won't even cough up the $150 to even purchase 2024. Yet with their initial and often only investment to the developers they are often the loudest wanting things constantly improved. For free of course. This is likely the reason why the plug was pulled on this franchise years ago. Casual simmers, or gamers as serious simmers like to call them are often more likely to generate revenue for them by using the marketplace. Of course this is a guaranteed revenue source with console users, so developing for both Xbox and PS5 is a strategic move to guarantee the titlesq longevity. These are the people who are paying the day to day operations with marketplace transactions. Maybe serious simmers should relaize the positive effect these casual simmers are having on their hobby, keeping the coffers full and allowing the Devs to keep bettering the sim for them, instead of demanding ten years of free updates for their measly $150.

I believe that it has to do with the fact that in older versions everything including the world was stored and generated from your personal computer. In these recent versions, the world does not stop when you do, so reloading is going to occur at the current time. There would probably have to be a provision to store all of the day/time/weather data current at time of saving, and all of the same that occurs in the future for the length of your flight.

Now that is realism! Data consumption matches real world fuel consumption values 😂

Sorry I'm late to the party. I spend most of my time on the Daw forums, Studio One primarily, complaining about how useless their software is, how features in my preferred Daw of choice are either not available, quirky to implement, not patched in a timely fashion, and is prone to crashes. I purchased it, fire it up occasionally, get ticked off, and go back to my Daw of choice. I've complained incessantly that they won't refund me, purchased three times, but forum users keep arguing with me and say it works great. But I digress. Fs2024? Yes, yes, yes.

Statistically that's 4:1 or 2:1. From that, it can be inferred with all being equal that there are either twice as many or up to four times as many members who frequent the MSFS forum VS the XP forum. Or that the number of XP forum members are disproportionately trolling the MSFS forums. 😘
