Noticed same thing the other day after dropping the cloud setting down from ultra to high SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.
September 1, 20205 yr Id does that sometimes, not always, it also pixelates stuff like trees when you are looking at them through the rotating propeller, must be some kind of bug or stupid movie grain effect gone wrong. September 1, 20205 yr I noticed the same thing on clouds. May give this a try. MSI Codex 5 10SC-262UK Desktop PC - Intel Core i7-10700, RTX 2060 Graphics, 16GB RAM, 2TB HDD, 256GB SSD.
September 20, 20205 yr Hey folks, stumbled upon this which dramatically improved cloud edges. In NV Control Panel Global Settings, Texture Filtering - Negative LOD bias: set to Clamp instead of the default Allow. There is still some wispiness on the edges but it looks far better to me now, and actually looks like the edges of clouds vaporizing or something along those lines. Far more subtle. The post-processing sharpening 0 did not help appreciably, plus I didn't like what it did to the rest of the scenery.
