Thanks Steve.  Check out my post in MSFS Tips and Tricks.  Got the tail number down pat.  But still trying to see how to change the tail number color.  Have tried a variety of HEX 8-digit color codes to no avail.  Stays black on the DA62 livery I am working with, despite copying over the HEX code from another aircraft that has a white tail number.

The other goal I have is to change the color of the DA62 red in the livery megapack to a slightly different red color that has been my "brand" red on all of my FSX/FSX SE aircraft.  Have not gotten close to that one yet.  Cannot be that difficult as many if not most of the GA liveries so far available are little more than exercises in changing colors, not patterns.

Just swapped the code....its identical to my eyes when I go back and forth between the 2 codes....try it yourself. 😉

To me honest, of the FSX GA liveries where I used that color across the board, most of that color was in stripes, etc.  None were that color over an entire hemisphere, so to speak.

No....was not involved in the mega pack...I just changed the color of the base model in the sim a few mins ago and that is what you're seeing (Don't advocate anyone mess with the base files that are in the official folder....if you do...backups...)

Hehe....its gonna be a bit until we can have a real stab and a new livery all together....you saw the Caravan texture map above...all the planes are line that. 😞

Oh, I take great care not to mess with base files.  Can you change the color of the tail number?  I have had no success.  Sending you a PM here.

Yeah some of the planes....unless you're only changing the files in the community folder like for like....you either have to mess with json files or just not add any additional textures.  For example the Caravan....the mega pack does not have wing textures in it.  So if you think you're slick and add the one from the official aircraft texture folder and color it like you want...you will not have a good outcome.

I'll see about the color of the tail number.
