No trees in NH near Mt. Washington, central MA

Featured Replies

I have no trees at all in northern NH (KBML to Mt Washington) or central MA (3B3 to Worcester area).  Is there a way to fix that?  I posted this on the official MSFS forums too, no help.

TIA!

seen similar in eastern long island and along the NE coastal region north of LI as well. Looks like fall-wintry ground imagery was used for these areas and thus the AI saw no trees 😛 unfortunate, but will likely be covered by a World Update fix in the future at some point.

Just checked 3B3 and flew south toward KORH along 190 at 1000'.  Plenty of trees for me.  What are your settings?

I have pretty much everything maxed.  If I fly east, I get back into trees pretty quickly, but nothing around 3B3 west to Mt. Wachusett (see below) or south to KORH.  Basically the same in northern NH.

I had the same problem in Northern Maine. Clearing out all of my local cache sorted the issue. Strange that the problem is reported mostly around New England. I found the solution in another forum from someone experiencing issues in CT.

I have so many trees in this area they cover up the streets and buildings to the point you almost can't see anything else.  I had to get the "adjust tree size" thing to reduce them and it helped but still an awful lot of auto-gen going on.  If you find out what is causing the lack of auto-gen trees could you post it?  I may want to have them removed just to see the local area in detail.

This is a scenery caching issue.  I've experienced this as well, after I had set up a "static" manual cache to go along with the rolling cache.

Recommendation: If you are using the manual cache feature, disable/delete it.  Then "reset" your rolling cache by deleting the file to refresh it and start it from scratch.

Your forests will thank you for it.

Someone started a topic I believe yesterday calling for a file verification process.  Could be called up to do a cross verification or file validity check between our installations and the the install/update servers.  What the issue in this topic appears to be is some file mismatch or missing files from installation and/or updates as not all users are affected.

I am interested for sake of discussion in having some other users take a look at my home airport, KESN, Easton, Maryland, to see if airport buildings and hangars are there.  Could it be the same issue.  Here is a comparison of MFS and real.

BINGO!  Deleted cache and build a new one and trees are back - many thanks guys!  Much appreciated.

I see the same as you - no buildings at KESN.

It is in your settings, General, near the bottom of those options.
