Sim vs Trailer Comparaison problem

Featured Replies

Known issue, also reported on the official forum. They said that on water orthos are unreliable so they are making water masking manually for those locations. If you check the Bahamas you'll find some water masks done properly.

Of course i wish it was the whole world with proper water masks, and that they would stop using water masks from closed versions in trailers because they are misleading

True.

Though,  adding some wind would at least give you some chop and prevent the water looking like a flat mirror.

You don't understand, I knew what you are saying but the pictures are taken at the same place, and both are taken from the simulator.

And? I don't think you understood, otherwise you would know that the difference between the two screenshots is exactly what i am talking about, missing water masking on our part.

Seem as marketing process...

Is a lot of beautiful trailers and pictures on the web but you don’t get the same.

Sure that a lot of promoting videos are produced by big studios. With big computers, professionals softwares, and flights replay possibilities.

You are talking about the difference between orthos and the sim, which is a know issue.

I was talking about the difference between 2 pictures, both from the same place and same simulator with different results.

The only difference I see is the missing water masking as Pastaiolo said.

Can you elaborate on what you find different besides water masking exactly? Because i am at loss at what you mean otherwise

Perhaps what the OP is asking is why, if the proper water masking was implemented at that exact location in the sim for the trailer, is that same proper water masking not implemented in the released product?

They are doing them manually, when they feel like they are ready they release them. That's why i mentioned The Bahamas, it's working fine there. With time i assume more will be released
