Help! Mooney still unflyable for me due to low FPS.

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

The latest MSFS patch rendered the Mooney unflyable for me. As soon as hit "Fly" the FPS drop to about 15-20. Turning the avionics off improves FPS a bit but as soon as they are turned on again FPS drop.

It was working flawlessly before the patch.

System Specs:

i9-9900k @4.7Ghz

RTX3080

32GB RAM and so on...

MSFS is set to 80% 4k and it works on steady 60FPS except the Mooney. Didn't change any settings along the way.

Reinstalling (the Mooney) didn't help either and i have no big intentions on reinstalling the whole sim....

Has anyone got an idea of what could be causing this issue?

Any help appreciated,

Tom

Edit:

CPU loads around 40%

GPU loads around 60%

no idea, honestly, since I wish I had your pc specs here. but since that came up elsewhere, did you enanble vsync in MSFS? Then try to disable that and check FPS again

Ah yes, i tried several VSYNC settings and neither worked well on the Mooney. Turned out for me that ingame vsync works best for me.

I have noticed no decrease of performance of the Mooney after MSFS last update. I don't know what could be your issue. Have you updated the Mooney itself as well ?

I just flew the Mooney. Smooth as silk and I have half the specs you have. Go over your settings again. Something must have changed.

If so it must be a setting that only affects the Mooney...no idea what that could be...

Same Situation the TBM sits @60FPS, the G36 @60FPS, the C208 is at 60FPS aswell...

What livery are you using? Try changing that and also try a different airport to depart from.

Only a 1080Ti, but the updated Mooney was easily holding 40 fps when I measured it over 'medium' scenery (Niagara).

We really need to find out what this is for you, and in case others have it.  It may solve other problems in the long run.

Yes.  Good thinking.  I have only ever flown it in the default blue livery.

Is the poor performance from inside and outside the aircraft?

I have tested two liveries so far. The standard blue and that great red one.

No difference...

Definately inside. As is said earlier turning off the avionics helps a bit but it sill is choppy.
