Wil upload within 5 minutes. Again not capturing the LOC at all... October 5, 20205 yr Author Here are the screenshots.. If it's me I cannot figured it out what I do wrong. We see all the info in the FMC we see the approach fase active. We see the LOC and the Glideslope active in the main screen. We see the activation of the APPR (tried also first LOC and then APP etc. etc.) we also see that it is not capturing the localiser at all !!! (purple diamond ending up on the right side. Purple diamond moving from left to right and the plane is NOT even trying to make a new heading of the plane so that the diamond stays in the center. I wish I could find out what is wrong or what I do wrong. Sorry for the amount of images.. Just trying to find out what I am doing wrong for the couple of past days..... As you can see on the last couple of images the purple diamond drifts off again to the right. (appr mode active) Now I am thinking it's not even responding to the LOC at all. No capture at all Also tried AP1 or AP2. I have no idea why it's not capturing the LOC.. Tried: EHAM ILS 18C / 18R EBBR ILS 25L LOWW ILS 29 I don't believe al those airports are not correct. So it must be me. But I have no idea. Did another 8 hours of Tutorials to see if I missed something. October 6, 20205 yr Author Nothing helps. Will do a fresh install of FS2020 (8 x DvD's) etc... if it's still the same after the fresh install then I give up. Maybe go back to P3D or just try in a couple of months. I tried almost every airport in the EU with Cat III ILS and never ever the LOC is captured at all. October 6, 20205 yr This has to be a bug. I have tried ILS landings now at five different UK airports and exactly the same thing with the A320. It captures the beam fine, but will veer off to the left. Coming down off the strip. If you dare bring up the VFR map (could cause CTD) and look at the GPS flight line, it can be miles off course when on approach. Airports: Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Guernsey and Belfast.
October 7, 20205 yr Author Well when flight dynamics are set on legacy (instead of modern) the ILS approach and LOC capture are perfect. However when flaps are set the plane wants to go to the moon..(Will climb as an word not allowed) I will just stop testing and playing for now. Will check in a month and see what is fixed MSI Tomahawk Z790, I7-13700K, DDR5 6000mhz, MSI 4090, 3x SSD 980 PRO, Corsair 360 Liguid CPU cooler, Corsair H1200V2 power.
October 9, 20205 yr Author Also noticed when it's not capturing the LOCALIZER and when you want to take control over the heading (after disable loc) It's not reacting to your input change of the heading at all !!!! October 9, 20205 yr Not sure whether this is relevant to this discussion or not but I have found that the skip forward to a later flight segment function on the toolbar e.g. Cruise, Descent, Approach etc really messes up the waypoints and autopilot system. I was able to test and retest this several times using the Schipol to London route. If I flew the whole route either in real time or using the change sim speed feature then the whole flight would work perfectly and the plane would use ILS and fly down the glide scope perfectly, If on the same flight plan I skipped forward to the Descent phase then the plane would sory of pick up the ILS but start overcorrecting as it came down the glide scope - >3000 ft descent speed, fly past the purple triangle level and then >3000ft ascent speed. I also had similar issues flying to Entebbe where the plane would ignore half the waypoints and fly straight to the one just before landing. When I change to not using skip forward then all operated absoloutely perfectly, This was using the A320 Flybywire. CJ

October 11, 20205 yr Were your screenshots of the EBBR approach done with the mod installed? If so, they show that you have not captured either the localizer or the glideslope, as the FMA indications for those on the PFD are blue, not green. The FMA says you are still in NAV lateral and ALT* vertical mode. Also, make sure you use the latest developer mod version, not the stable one. Get the installer here:https://github.com/Externoak/A32NX-installer/releases/tag/v0.4.1 I had no problems flying the approach. I thought it might be a navdata issue, so I uninstalled my Navigraph beta navdata, but the default nav data did just fine. I don't know why yours didn't capture, but make sure you capture the localizer first from below the glideslope, then arm APPR. I would add a screenshot of my approach, but the "insert image from URL" doesn't seem to like my GooglePhotos link. Here it is anyway https://photos.app.goo.gl/Hv6isEvgVcuFT7M36

Here it is anyway https://photos.app.goo.gl/Hv6isEvgVcuFT7M36 Half way they are all green (see some images) Then it's losing the localizer and becomes blue... (LIKE it's returning to NAV mode, become green) Was there an active flightplan ? See the following 4 screenshots. As you can see al green. The loosing the LOC and become blue. (tried without active flightplan and then it seems to work) Edited October 11, 20205 yr by altenae MSI Tomahawk Z790, I7-13700K, DDR5 6000mhz, MSI 4090, 3x SSD 980 PRO, Corsair 360 Liguid CPU cooler, Corsair H1200V2 power.
October 11, 20205 yr Just did the flight you noted down. Here is the ILS on final portion. have full flight recorded if need be, but worth noting i tested with default 320 since i have no real issues with its system and ease of use. Only things managed through the flight by me were air speed and altitude as assigned by ATC. live traffic, live players and live weather if that makes a difference. P.S. Don't mind the flare and landing, I literally have probs only 4hrs logged on the A320 lol.

I always load the flightplan EDDL-EBBR and choose the ILS 25L-Z. Without a flightplan it seems to work. But with the flightplan it seems to capture the LOC but loosing it and continue in NAV mode again (Green) and LOC is changed into BLUE.
