Washington D.C. - White House , U.S. Capitol - What Happened

This is common all over.  I'm not sure the details, but they use AI to look at the data and try to figure out what is there.  Often, they get the details and the elevation wrong, unless someone goes in there by hand and fixes things.

The locations of buildings is very accurate, but the composition of them can be totally wrong.  My home town looks perfectly flat.  The hockey arena is only a few feet high (might explain why we've missed the playoffs for many years)  😀

The technology is amazing, but clearly it has limitations.

There is already a world update coming for the US.  And this is after the US already has the best photogrammetry in the game. Compare the US to say, Canada.  We have really bad photogrammetry in some cities in Canada.  For example, only downtown Vancouver has photogrammetry.  Once you leave downtown Vancouver, everything is auto generated.  Now walk across the border to Seattle, and much of metro Seattle has photogrammetry.

I wouldn't doubt in the world update for the US, if Asobo added the White House, Capitol Building, and other notable Washington DC buildings/structures.  The only reason why they wouldn't add it is because there is already a commercial 3rd party release of buildings and structures for Washington DC (the Drzweicki Design release).

Coming soon: Orbx DC Landmarks..!

Bottom Line:  We shouldn’t have to buy a payware add on to fix major issues in an area as big and popular as DC...?
