Are you using the traditional fancy-schmancy controllers?

Maybe be like me and try a gamepad... (I play lots of games and hate switching the yoke in and out)

Now that I think of it, I may vaguely remember having an experience or two like yours when using my thrustmaster a while ago.

Perhaps look for duplications or overlap in your Controls settings.

If you have other controls hooked up you could still be triggering conflicting behavior.

TBM flies just fine. It has bugs, for sure, but none of that behavior you describe. I'd start troubleshooting my setup.

All the autopilots demonstrate the same problem reported by the original poster. Fortunately it doesn't happen on every flight. Some people never experience it at all. The A320 does it. The C172 does it. The prevailing theory is that the bug has something to do with "interference" from AI aircraft. One recommendation is to tinker with the MSFS AI aircraft settings in order to lessen the occurrence of the autopilot death spiral. Others suggest increasing the dead zone setting on the yoke.

In any case, this bug has been reported numerous times both here and other online flightsim sites.

Anyone still using active pause? Thats a good way to end up eating dirt, too.

Okay, since joining this thread have completed three successful tbm flights, no anomalies detected... This just all seems... random. 😕
