SR22 autopilot?

Featured Replies

Did my first flight with the SR22 tonight.  Was trying to get out of the mountains so gave this a try.  Worked great and is actually very easy to fly (thank you Honeycomb for making an amazing yoke).  However, I flew the whole trip by hand due to never being able to get the autopilot to work (thankfully made it out of the mountains before dark).  What's the deal?  Clicking on any of the buttons just gets a quick light flash (except VNV).  Am I missing something?

Well, for starters you posted the exact same thing twice in a row, which is never appreciated.

I just did a flight in the SR22 to test, and the autopilot doesn't give me any trouble.  You did engage the AP master first?

My apologies for the double post - did not do that on purpose.

I attempt to engage the AP and still doesn't seem to do anything (clicking on the engage autopilot, using keyboard mapped command).

Well found out what it appears to be - unplugged my Honeycomb Alpha and the AP works.  Haven't had this with the AP built into the G1000.  Well at least I know what the issue is.  Won't be using the SR22 for now (at least if I want to use the AP).

The SR-22 is a great little plane. I put many hrs. in it before getting the Mooney which I'm currently flying in. The only problems I ever had with the AP were it turning itself off before Asobo fixed that bug. If there's a bug with the Honeycomb causing AP issues then you need to report the issue to both Honeycomb and Asobo so they can get it worked out.

It was fun to fly even rushing through the mountains before it got dark. I'm going to be reporting the issue.

Is it a Honeycomb Alpha setup issue or a MSFS issue? Might be worth trying to find out if other Honeycomb yoke users are having the same problem with the SR-22 AP.

I dont think his double post was on purpose, nor is it that big of a deal.

Did you ever figure this out?.  I just purchase the SR22 upgrade in MSFS 2020 and having same issue with Honeycomb Yoke.  I can get it to work for a while after plugging Yoke back in but not sure what the real solution is.
