What are these hundreds of airports with the 3rd party content icon on the map? I just installed 6 or 7 but I see hundreds with that icon. Why?

Are you talking about the star icons on airports?

A few of mine have what appears to be an electrical plug. 

Tesla charge points? 😅

No, not the ones with the star, I'm talking about the ones with the 3rd party icon, like an electrical plug as lupedelupe said.

So you have just a few of those? I have hundreds. I wonder why and what they are because I didn't install them.

Maybe you have a global addon/mod installed which modifies all of them so they are counted as "enhanced"? Just a guess.

Anyway, there is a legend on the bottom which details all the symbols used.

Yes, the legend says they are 3rd party airports. I don't have any global addon. I'm starting to think that's because I have the Navigraph data installed. Maybe they are airports that are "enhanced" by Navigraph, adding frequencies and such.

Can anyone with Navigraph navdata installed check if they see them too?

hmmmm, I don't any legend on the bottom. This is in the world map page?.....cancel that, I see you have to open. Good tip pmb!!

There is a button on the bottom to switch the legend on/off. And more, another one for activating/deactivating some display features like clouds etc.

If you are running windowed it may be hindden behind the task bar, I had this myself.

That's precisely what it is.   I was confused by the same thing when I installed Navigraph data.

Another thing, do you know why some of the addon airports I installed have a star and some don't?

Whether or not an airport is starred is determined by a flag set by the developer when it's created.    Most devs seem to star their airport (which I think most folks prefer), but some do not for whatever reason.
