For those that are struggling to get this working please try the following to create a basic button

1) When Touch-Portal first loads click anywhere in the screen to open the "edit touch button window"
2) On the right side in panel settings name your button i.e Landing Lights
3) Scroll down and uncheck transparent background so you can see the button
4) On the left panel scroll to input section and select "virtual key press"
5) You should now see the key presses window, press CTRL+L (Toggle landing lights) on your keyboard and it should register
6) Press "add" then "save" in the edit touch button window

You should now see the new button on your tablet and when touched it should activate your landing lights. (You can only use the tablet to activate buttons and not your PC) Make sure the connected button is green showing your device is actually connected

I tried the above and the landing lights do not come on? I added a button for open a folder and it worked fine, so I know the connection from iPad to PC is ok, very strange.

One is for MS2020, I downloaded and imported to TP, but have no idea where to find ,and use what I imported😬

That is as far as I came too. You can add a button - say v for map - and then edit that button an assign an icon from the msfs icon set.  So far so good. But again, I do not know how to add one icon for button off and another icon for button on. Let me know if you found out

Thanks Rich,

So it seem a little more complicated than,

1) When Touch-Portal first loads click anywhere in the screen to open the "edit touch button window"
2) On the right side in panel settings name your button i.e Landing Lights
3) Scroll down and uncheck transparent background so you can see the button
4) On the left panel scroll to input section and select "virtual key press"
5) You should now see the key presses window, press CTRL+L (Toggle landing lights) on your keyboard and it should register
6) Press "add" then "save" in the edit touch button window

What is the action for the purple sections? Is that the paid version only?

I am still unable to get landing lights or gear to toggle.

John

The instructions above were to get a basic button to turn landing lights on

The purple section allows you to chooses which icon you want for the button state, it is under the visuals category. You have one icon for "Off" and another for "On"

Of course you have to have an icon pack that has these.

Also have you made rules in your firewall to allow Tourch-Portal through ?

Thanks so much

Yes it took me a few attempts but it’s quite straight forward when you get the hang of it.

You can copy and paste a working button then apply it to another function.
