  6. unreal weather - live metar shows the current metar report. https://unrealweather.blogspot.com/2020/09/unreal-weather-live-metar-released.html Also, if you are using the FBW a32nx the MCDU has the ability to receive the current metar and print it out. John
  7. This is from the WT discord page, Please note that the core sim interaction/model behaviors have changed dramatically with SU5, and there is a new interaction system. See the Known Issues for some issues with this. We highly recommend using the new LOCK Cockpit Interaction System with Instrument Tooltips off. To access these settings, go to Options -> General Options -> Accessibility. Known Issues The joystick used for panning charts does not work in Legacy interaction mode. John
  8. I just finished a clean install (6hrs), it installed 1.18.15.0 which is the latest version John
  9. Thanks for the reply. I have the 'Store' version and don't see Local Files in the Properties. I have re-installed FS2020 clean to a dedicated SSD received the same message. Re-installed Windows 10 clean then again FS2020 clean which took around 6 hrs, same error message. I have been swimming since 1984 and never had problems like this. I have sent a ticket to Zendesk so hopefully they can sort out the problem. John
  10. I just updated FS2020 to 1.18.13.0, when I satrt I get checking for updates the 'you are missing essential packages that are essential to run MSFS2020, please update the application. The only option is Quit. I checked the Store for updates and no updates found. Any ideas other that a complete re-install? John

  13. I did a flight earlier and didn't get the 'launching game' screen. Just re-started and now I do get the screen? Very strange indeed. John
  14. To delete a specific waypoint press 'CLR' then the LSK left of the waypoint. You can then press LSK6R to 'INSERT' the modification or LSK6L to 'ERASE' the changes. John
  15. I have been using these liveries as suggested by FBW and have not had any problems. The liveries have been converted to use with FBW so you just place them in the 'community' folder. https://flightsim.to/c/liveries/flybywire-a32nx/ John
  16. First you must have entered a flightplan. At the MCDU press MCDU MENU, ATSU, AOC MENU, WX REQUEST, press send. Wait a few minutes for Company Msg to appear on the upper ECAM, PressReturn to AOC MENU, Received Messages, Metar, Print. John
  17. This video explains the difference between ILS and RNAV. Basically ILS uses a runway signal for lateral and vertical (usually 3 deg) to intercept the ILS. RNAV uses the GPS system along with the MCDU entered flight plan to track the lateral and vertical profile. As explained in the video there are still several limitations to this in both MSFS and the FBW mod. I am currently using the experimental version of the FBW mode which uses a custom autopilot. It now supports auto land which seems to work very well. Hope this helps, it can be very confusing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeVDLt7jVwk John
  18. Most RNAV approaches are considered non-precision and no not use the glide slope. You would require VNAV, however it is not modelled (yet) in any of the FBW a320 versions. John
  19. Yes it does, with AP1 selected intercept the LOC and GS then press AP2 and it will autoland with flare and rollout! John
  20. I had the same problem. Looks like the new installer uses the format 'flyby wire-aircraft-a320-neo, which was conflicting with the old A320NX format. Glad you got it working. John
  21. Using the 'experimental' version. I just did a flight from CYXU to CYUL, hand flew the departure to cruise and found the AP very smooth. I landed at runway 27L, the ILS and GS capture was perfect. I also used the autoland feature by selecting AP2 which is amazing. John
  22. Once you land at your destination, parked your 320 at the gate. You can then start Simbrief (with FS2020 still running) and plan a return flight. Select MCDU Menu, ATSU, AOC MENU, INIT/PRES and INIT DATA REQ. Refuel and off you go. John
  23. From the win 10 start menu select microsoft store. At top right corner click on the 3 dots and select My Library. You should at the very least see 'Xbox Identity Provider'? If you don't see it you can download it from here, https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/xbox-identity-provider/9wzdncrd1hkw?rtc=1 John
