NavData Question

Featured Replies

I was trying some flights out of small local airports this afternoon that have full RNAV procedures yet in MSFS 2020 they are not available to select as approaches. I tried to input the actual waypoints of the approach but they could not be found. The approach I was trying was RNAV RWY 18 at CYQA (Muskoka Airport)

I thought MSFS 2020 was supposed to have the latest NAVDATA,  In X-Plane 11 I think I am still on version 1812 and I can still enter all the route points manually of the RNAV approach

Am I missing something ?

I have sprung for the meager cost of Navigraph data to supplement what is currently available in default MSFS.  I too am disenchanted with the gap between a year of pre-release chest-thumping and the content provided to date.  Navdata is one, real world weather is another, avionics is a 3rd.  I stopped counting at that point.  Thank goodness for public mods...

I have not taken the time to look back toward representations over that year in regard to ATC.  Just recognize where it is currently at...  🤐

Hey! I found my house.... Kinda.  I live on a mostly wooded property...  But I can identify the Walmart Super Center where I should make the VFR turn to final....

Are you sure you have the Navigraph navdata folder inside your community folder?

He never said he was using navigraph? I think he was referring to the default nav data.

Is it better - does it work on all aircraft ?

OK so it would sound like navigraph Data is the better option.

Can you subscribe for a month to get the latest data then cancel your subscription? That is how I did it before within X-Plane. I don't fly online do for me it does not matter that I do not have the very latest data.
