Don't have the skills or the inclination to break any DRM. Just want to fly in the aim without hitches.

You don't need skills to break the DRM, just the inclination. Thats why the DRM locks you out.

I have written enough to your so called "[email protected]" explaining everything. No reply for the past six months. Another ticket given today for my missing products. "Revenge"? Are you lot so insecure? By the way I am heavily invested in DCS world, Xplane and P3D 5. Don't be so bloated in the head thinking your products are be all and end all. Just because I brush you off doesn't mean I am giving up flight simming. On the contrary. I couldn't care two hoots of your opinion of me. Calling me a software pirate doesn't make me one.

I'm trying to HELP you.  If you see my help as being insecure or egotistical, then I wish you well and we can end the correspondence here.

You should not have called me out as a software pirate then. Also, you have only been criticising me. Where is the help?

And no thanks to x-aviation. No help from their side.

You said that, right?

Do you expect sunshine and flowers after criticising X-Aviation like this, in a public forum, without ANY context, after giving info on how to get around a blocked license??

There are thousands of X-Aviation customers, who have never had a problem with the DRM.  You never explained why your license was blocked.  All you did was rant.

We all know some people have problems with add ons, SOMETIMES.  Why do people believe that the only way to get a solution to their problem is by going on a rampage in forums or "demanding" fixes to their problems?

There are people, human beings, who are there to help.  Be courteous and ask for help, and we will go out of our way to give it.  Bring some attitude, and you'll see a road to nowhere.

Your support doesn't even reply to tickets. Is that the help system you are talking about? I tried being nice, six months ago. You were nasty then and no change now. When I am that way you have a problem. You had written off my issue as a less than one percent "non issue" if you remember.

I don't handle support.  I'm just a 3rd party developer.  But thank you for clarifying that you DID get a response.

Response was not through support channels. Hence I stand by what I said that support seems non existent at your end. And you are speaking on the behalf of xaviation.

Like I said, without context, it's impossible to draw any conclusions.

In saying all the above, I do hope you get any issues you have, resolved.  But I can't stress it enough.  If an add on gives you problems, ANY add on...when asking for support, be courteous. I've had people come to me with problems, and I always tell them the same thing.  Contact support, but don't bring any attitude.  Ask for help.  Be nice about it, and you will be helped.

We know people spend their hard earned money.  We're not here to rip people off.  But the minute someone starts throwing their weight around and making demands or ultimatums, like other companies, we always have the right to refuse service.  If you want the help you need, calm down, Re-evaluate where you stand and what you need, and come back with a new attitude.  X-Aviation support is not unreasonable.

No demands or ultimatums made. I just put a fresh copy of Windows and found my xaviation licence working. Even then I had to deactivate one previous machine so that only three machines remained activated. I just brought this out. Nothing illegal or illegitimate or unreasonable. That doesn't mean that you will wipe out my entire purchases from my account.

I think I've gotten involved in this too much already.  I just make the add ons and handle some support for my products.  Not for the DRM.

There are other ways this could have been handled, and, in my own opinion, you chose the worst possible way (by circumventing a blocked license).

Other publishers would have done the same thing XA has done, and wouldn't even respond to you.  I've seen it happen, and to much frustration from the customer.

I've given you my thoughts on the matter, and I really think there's nothing else for me, personally, to do or say.

If you want to, contact support again and see what happens.  I certainly cannot make any guarantees, because I don't have access to any correspondence you have between you and XA.

In any case, consider this a lesson.  Posting instructions on how to get around a blocked license, in a public forum, is definitely not the wisest of options when trying to get something to work.

By the way Goran, are you the one behind the TBM? If so kudos.

I'm 1 of 2 people who made the TBM, yes.

Yes, a lesson in never to buy anything from xaviation again. Will miss the TBM though.

Now youve made that step, install linux, ~double your framerate, and never get winraged again.

Well, almost never, its been 19 hours since windows last made my eyes bleed; unfortunately 60% of xplane users still havent switched away from windows yet.
