December 4, 20205 yr I have been having issues of late with photogrammetry. I don't know if it is a settings thing or just how it works, but I have those triangular looking trees and melted looking buildings all over now. It seems worse with the new release at lower altitudes. I flew from SAN-SFO in the 320 and both cities had that unless I was looking directly below me. To me this has to be some sort of system limitation because on some of the things that I have seen on Youtube, etc., it looks nothing like that. So my question is, Is this a system issue that I am seeing or is it just an issue with photogrammetry in general? I am at 30 FPS pretty much throughout and am on high settings but changing them up or down does not seem to make any difference. Any advice, if there is any, would be appreciated. So are a lot of people. 32GB of RAM and more VRAM would likely help. SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Maybe i can try the memory route but I don't think I would be able to up the VRAM Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 32GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive

Is photogrammetry just the buildings? does it make it look like FSX, generic, etc? Or should I say, wouldn't turning it off take away the whole point of the sim? December 4, 20205 yr Hi @Zimmerbz, I have the same issue you have (ugly buildings or trees) on a I9 10900 @ 5,2 Ghz, on a 24 GB Mem Titan, 64 Gig mem on a 43" Dell monitor 3840 x2160 @ 60Hz and 1 GB internet connection. I tried anything available and suggested on internet and suffer from the same problem. While I'm looking at different people's pictures and videos and I can't understand what is going on, how is it possible that on some computers with less specs they have such a beautiful scenery rendering and on others is so bad. I tried different hours during day or night thinking about that servers are too busy? I don't know, maybe geographical location is affecting performance? No disrespect intended, maybe your computer specs has something to do with it but still there are many people mentioning these issues. Anybody here has any idea, is Robert A. available or somebody else for some suggestions? 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

December 22, 20205 yr Author Do you all think this is an internet speed issue, a Bing, a PC spec issue, or a MSFS setting issue? I am trying to figure out that these melted buildings and trees is my PC trying to load the graphics and it can't or if it is a different limitation. It is so weird to me because I see videos that have very nice looking scenery and can't figure out how to fix it. I also get pixelated textures on the ground, particularly in water (much like the clouds) that I can't figure out how they got there. December 22, 20205 yr Cannot say if this would help. I was seeing the same issues. I checked the server I was on inside msfs to see my ping. It was 243ms and connected to South East Asia. I am in the state of Georgia. Changed my server from automatic to East coast and the problem went away. 9950X3D, PNY 5090, 64GB DDR5 6000, MSI X870-P, GIGABYTE AORUS Gen5 2TB NVMe, 3440x1440 AW3423DW gsync ultimate.
