Arctic Snow - Addition to Winter Season Mod

Recommended Posts

I am experimenting a new arctic snow with snow/ice covered trees in remote part of Canada. What do you guys think?

I will add this area to the winter season mod coming this weekend. Check the other pictures for other areas of winter season in case you missed it in my other post.

Oh my... you've done it again. Looks spectacular.

That's something like the "hard winter" season from Prepar3d, isn't it?

I think that's not limited to Northern Canada, but also Alaska or Siberia.

Kind regards, Michael

Very well done Bijan!! I have your autumn and winter tree updates and absolutely love those. I can't wait to try these out too! All your updated seasonal trees adds more realism to an already amazing view "out the window". Thanks for all your hard work and sharing these with the community!

I am not native or otherwise familiar with those areas. My question is whether the white on the trees is perhaps a bit overdone.  I have been in West Yellowstone, Montana, during winter after heavy snows and a day or two later the sun and wind have caused a good deal of the snow to fall off trees.  Not all of it, but a good deal of it.  However I certainly defer to my Canadian friends....

I do eagerly wait for the update...  I plan to fly the Aleutian Islands soon.  Some nice freeware Aleutian Island small airports on flightsim.to.

None of these are in USA (except alaska)

These are pretty common in up north. Mostly up north of alaska and siberia.

Looking good, Bijan. So this is also a community folder mod? No need to replace core files?

I was just flying around Iceland and would loved to have had this there. I think anywhere in the mountains in Winter (even the US Rockies region like Montana, Wyoming and Colorado) as well as the Olympic mountains in Washington State would look like this in Winter. Basically, anywhere there’s a ski resort around, this would be what you’d expect.
