Blue/Green box around parking spot

Featured Replies

Is there a possibility to remove the blue/green box around the parking spot at destination without losing guidance to this parking spot after landing? Most probably I overlooked the option where to dis/enable this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Hans

I think it's part of the Taxi Ribbons. Hopefully in the future they will separate and make items like these toggle-able. Until then, your only option is to ESC/pause and turn it on/off in the options menu.

There was work being done on trying to make the Taxi Ribbons a mod in the community folder. If that would have worked then a toggle could have been made. Unfortunately Asobo doesn't seem to allow some game file alterations to be in the Community folder and used as a mod. You have to actually alter the file in the official files to make it work. This makes it much harder to make things toggle on/off.

There is a mod https://flightsim.to/file/2373/tiny-taxi-ribbons which alters the size of the taxi ribbon, and when you donate 5$ or 4.20 €, you will get an enhanced version where the cyan parking box and the marker in the sky are disabled. I did donate, got an e-mail with the mod and now enjoy much more realistic taxiing.

Thanks, James, I think I will just trust my Navigraph maps and go out of lazy mode  🙂

I assume, the "watermark" is some individual digital signature in one of the files. As long as you don't give the files away nobody will be able to see these "watermarks". I don't think this mod has some builtin "calling home" function, so I wouldn't call it "spy".

That guy took the work of  Cygniflick from the official forums link I posted and put it up as a mod of his own. It was no different and still required replacing the file in the official files. He since has made a few changes and calls it donationware. I don't know how you can call something donationware while requiring a payment before you let someone have it, sounds more like payware to me. BTW it still requires changing the file in the official folders and is not a mod for the community folder

I fully agree and keep away from this mod.

The mod is great and cost less than a hamburger, I have no problem with it at all, the difference from this mod compared to Cygniflick's original is that you can choose the size and colors of the arrows, and that part is still a freeware.
