Any potential fixes incoming for "morphing" mountains?

It could be with the updated terrain mesh that more and more areas are seeing the morphing, but as a whole it's been going on since the beginning.

That's interesting, I must admit I have never seen it before. The "morphing" I'm referring to is not subtle at all. I swear! It's not one of those silly things you have to look really hard to spot. Its extremely noticeable. Prior to the last build, I could literally look as far as my eyes could see and there was zero movement of the mesh. Now its "morphing" directly outside the plane, in front, beside, below and behind. Also, I have no mods, no payware, (apart from fsdt cyvr).

Have you checked to see if your LOD settings have changed? I notice sometimes an update changes my settings without my knowledge and I only find out when I go hunting to see why something is different. It's worth a check though.

I think this is what is going on.

There is some relationship between draw distance and terrain mesh detail level, but we didn't see it before because all of the terrain mesh was only at a lower level of detail.

I appreciate the advise. I promise I have checked all possible settings a trillion times, I do every day, it's kinda my thing! Tinkering with flight sims and computers is probably all of our thing. At least those of us who spend our Sunday afternoon reading obscure threads on Avsim! lol

Anyway, a quick trip departing from the Hoover Dam Bridge should demonstrate the "morphing" phenomenon in about 5 seconds for anyone curious.  Just for fun here is a pic that shows some mountains to observe, its impossible to capture in a picture, a video would be much better but this is all of got atm. This also demonstrates the shoreline glitch as well! Yikes! *For what its worth everything in this picture was perfectly fine before the update, including the shoreline.

I think the updated terrain/mesh is what's causing that issue. This was something ASOBO did a couple of updates ago and ruined my Caribbean Islands and so many other places around the world. This should be fixes ASAP!

MSFS

This is exactly what I see now as well (Erick's picture).  Asobo really need to sort this out.  No point having all of the nice scenery if it displays like this. The popping in and out of the scenery objects is bad as well.   For me, the bridge in front of the dam constructs and deconstructs itself when flying towards and away, but easily within viewing distance.  Maybe a mile or so.  Very poor LOD.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
