Frasca Pattern (and Comments)

Featured Replies

I picked up a few items on sale at the marketplace today.  Originally I vowed to not buy from the store due to the non editability of files but also because I had some issues in the past.  I have since started using Addon Linker, so disabling all addons temporarily to make purchases has seemed to enable me access the marketplace and content now.

One of the addons, is one I highly recommend: C16 Frasca Field.  It's got two runways, 9/27 (concrete 4000 ft lighted) and 18/36 (turf 3600ish ft).  It also has an instrument approach to the field...  it's just NE of KCMI Champaign.  CMI is about 100 mi south of Chicago O'Hare... so the field is ideal for a nice GA hop from Chicago (and perhaps a base for FSE, OnAir, Skypark etc - it could easily support a king air, or small Citation type).  I think it was 5 bucks on marketplace...that's a Starbucks or something haha.  Well worth it!

Anyway I then grabbed the aircraft pictured here - I won't really say a whole lot about it, there's tons of reviews on youtube etc.  So far I like it - it's just a nice break from the glass cockpits of almost all our of default aircraft.  I'm not paying for gas so I think I'll run it around 160 KTAS.  I've only hand flown so far and it felt good.  It could really benefit from a RXP GTN 750 though!

Anyway, enjoy!

Nice!

I have a question (getting conflict answers) please, is flight_model.cfg hidden, not available for editing?

Thanks.

Yes.  The only ones I can see are ai, cameras, cockpit, and gameplay.cfg

Happy Holidays!

Nice shots Ryan, I picked this up last night as well, at that price it will make a great little GA base.  Going to spend some time there today.

Yes I agree...I've got to work tonight (someone's gotta work Christmas Eve!) but I'll be playing with it this next week!  Everything was modeled really nicely too!

I did find semi annoying bug in the Seminole: NAV2 OBS knob has no effect on the gauge.  I think that VOR2 works but I can't change the OBS course.

That livery is my favorite but it looks more like brown on my screen than burgundy. 😀

@ryanbatcund I bought the scenery thanks to your suggestion and it's the $6 I've ever spent on an airport. I wish this developer would create KBKV with this level of detail.
