Basically the game will take far more advantage of the single 3080. I thought that nVidia was doing away with SLI. December 31, 20205 yr I've had SLI for years but in the end think it was a pointless marketing effort. bs AMD RYZEN 9 5900X 12 CORE CPU - ZOTAC RTX 3060Ti GPU - NZXT H510i ELITE CASE - EVO M.2 970 500GB DRIVE - 32GB XTREEM 4000 MEM - XPG GOLD 80+ 650 WATT PS - NZXT 280 HYBRID COOLER
December 31, 20205 yr nVIDIA is getting rid of SLI. Some games have a DirectX 12 based multiGPU support now that is at the game level and not the driver level, but MSFS doesn't support this. Dual GPUs is dead as a doornail at this point for gaming. There may be some other applications like computer, rendering, or crypto, but not games. Thank you, Gary Schmidt well I'm most certainly not a expert... nor a salesperson for ANY company... quick google just as you typed in brought this https://www.techradar.com/news/nvidia-rtx-3080-vs-rtx-2080-super

January 1, 20215 yr I recommend that you build your own computer for MSFS, if you are not able to do that, it is probably better to invest in an Xbox X. System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

The 20xx Super cards where only out a bit over 12 months before being totally superseded. The old rule of "never by the first gen of any product" does not really apply to GPUs anymore.

This is silly advice. We have no idea what the mod situation will be on XBox. It's likely all the wonderful free mods will not be available, since there will be no Community folder to out them in. There will also likey be no option to use tools like LittleNavMap that need SimConnect. Peripherals will require either all new stuff with the XBox security chip built in, or perhaps some adapter box that may or may not work with flight sim stuff yet.
