I would like to share my experience, especially to know if some of you already had the same because it looks very strange. Here is the whole story:

I planned an IFR flight from Fairford EGVA to Manchester EGCC. I wanted to fly the Citation CJ4 and as a new black livery came with the latest update, I wanted to use it, I like it. I started the flight as usual, requested clearance, took off, flew the route, then... CTD. No error message, no explanation and back to the desktop.
These things happen sometimes, so I just did it again. I flew a little longer, I was in the descent to the destination and... CTD again. As I was bothered by the transponder bug this time (you know, when ATC asks you to set your transponder in ALT mode and you don't have any command to do it, https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/cessna-citation-cj4-transponder-problems/254848), I decided to install the Working Title CJ4 mod. Among other improvements, the transponder bug was fixed (very good mod by the way) but again, I had a CTD.

Then I read the Working Title documentation that says: "The alternate default liveries that now ship with MSFS are not compatible with the CJ4 yet at this time."
I was surprised but I did another IFR flight with the CJ4, initial default livery, and everything worked fine, no CTD, no problem.

Did some of you also experienced this CTD?
It is hard for me to understand how a livery can cause a CTD, would you have a possible explanation?

Not any real help, but i have recently removed all liveries from all the aircraft. With the recent update, all my ctd issues vanished immediatly, but  only to start returning when i started using liveries with the A320 and TBM. Removed them all, and no ctd since. I think we need to be aware anything we stick into the sim at this time could cause issues.

The issue is primarily that some liveries contain more than just the paint. Part of the problem is that I guess in order to change some things, such as the interior colors or the registration number appearance, the livery must include a panel folder. The way the community folder works, if a file exists in more than one add-on (so if there is a panel.cfg in the CJ4 mod, plus a panel.cfg in livery A's folder and another panel.cfg in livery B's folder, only one of those will make it in to the sim...and it will be the last one to load. So either the livery is missing it's file or the plane is missing it's file. If the livery overwrites the plane, then the plane breaks.

FYI, we have a pinned google doc in the #media channel of our discord server with a list of "safe" liveries that don't break the plane. One of our community members put it together.

I have just had a new CTD 😞

Flying IFR from Glasgow to Dublin with the CJ4, with Working Title mod 0.8.3 and initial default livery (white). CTD happened shortly after takeoff. Do you think it is related to the mod or to the aircraft?

I regret this because I enjoy the CJ4.

I regret this because I enjoy the CJ4.

It's the mod. Go to the discord channel to see the discussion. 

Indeed, I have just flown this same flight again without the mod and everything went fine.

Unfortunately, the CJ4 is not as good without the mod. The Working Title mod is so good that I can't fly with it anymore. I can't wait to have a fix.

I finally found the list of supported liveries in Discord. I downloaded and installed one of them (https://flightsim.to/file/3850/citation-cj4-reg-black-gray) and I had a CTD right after taking off. I was hoping the Working Title CJ4 mod would work with one of the supported liveries but I may have gone wrong somewhere...

I did the same. When everyone was reporting live traffic as causing CTD's, instead of disabling live traffic, I killed all my addon liveries for ALL aircraft and CTD's disappeared.
