I have just purchased and installed 4 cerecproc voices. I assigned them to the random list and also some controllers. At first they worked, now they have stopped working and the default Microsoft voice is playing. what do I need to do differently?

Each time a controller or the copilot needs to speak, the program attempts to load their assigned voice.  If the voice will not load, a "default" male or female voice is used.  This is what results in the Microsoft voices being used.

There is another thread about issues the new with Cereproc voices.  I suspect you are hitting the same thing.  When they contacted Cereproc, they told him they were looking into it.

Yeah. I’m a bit put out too, especially when they were in the list as compatible on the forums. Oh well.

i have just stared to email them to fix them you should try as well so they  do it

Yes I will, what’s the email address and what exactly did you say to them? Then I’ll say similar so they know it’s all one of the same issue.

if we keep telling them they will fix our voices

  • Author

Let’s hope so, I’ve emailed them.

I had a nice response :-

Hi Ian,

Our engineering team are aware of the issue with our V6 voices and are looking into resolving this.

I believe our V5 voices work alot faster on Pilot2ATC.

Would you like me to send you V5 versions of the voices to try?
