TOGA Envshade Update Available

Recommended Posts

When I open EnvDir I don't get any notice about an available update. Shouldn't it do so?

Yes it should (if I recall right. Update button?). Maybe you should report this at TOGA?

I think you have to click the "help" button and then "check for updates" - not sure it does it automatically.

Installed it to day, checked the Aircraft Shadow Depth function with regards to the KA 350i vc for increasing the the dark textures but it dosn't appear to be working.

On an issue i've had with Envtex when i try to load to sim I get multiple pop-ups indicating files are missing, have posted over at TOGO but not found a solution yet, has anybody had this problem.

The back-up files for Envshade are there but back files for Envtex are not but the folders are generated..

Bob, i recommend that you re-install the P3D client by a install or a repair-install. This will bring back the original shaders and textures and doesn´t harm your install at all. After this inject the the modifications by EnvShade and Tex again with your settings. If you still have texture issues, you could do the same with content and/or scenery, depending on which textures you have issues with. For instance, the Sky and cloud textures are "content" and countryside textures are "scenery".

I´ve had no issues with the update and the "lava" roads at night are gone.

OK, that's the latest version at present.  There was also a v5.0 HF2 that some folks are still using.

How much of a difference does Envshade make compared to default when Enhanced Atmospherics is enabled? EA overrides some of the P3D shaders but Envshade seem to adjust EA behavior too, I just have been unable to find any comparison shots for that case. Could anyone provide some comparison screenshots, please?
