January 28, 20215 yr I wonder if Asobo planning to implement windshield wiper that actually clean rain drops! I know it's a little thing, but a nice feature to have. I haven't read anything about it anywhere yet. I know WBF A320 has windshield wiper but it just animation and doesn't clean window, so I assume SDK doesn't allow to implement it fully. January 28, 20215 yr Yes Sir, they have made realistic effects and now we need a way to clean them up lol Rick Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/

January 28, 20215 yr Wipes are quite interesting but they have quite a performance hit and in reality, most of the rain is cleared by the wind flow except when taxiing. Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
January 28, 20215 yr Agreed, likely to be a big frame rate killer but be nice to have the option to turn it on. What I want is Carenado to turn on the rain effects when flying from the front cockpit (co-pilot position) of the YMF-5 . Currently only the rear cockpit gets rain on the screen 😄
January 28, 20215 yr I don't think it would be an fps killer. X-plane Zibo 737 for example has it. Also if you look at the rain in MSFS its the same pattern repeated. Just look at a section of the windscreen while parked and you will notice the rain drop is landing in one or two different places in a repetitive pattern. I think they just need to create an additional pattern for the "wipe" rather than anything truly dynamic. Edited January 28, 20215 yr by sanh
