UK Upgrade Issues

Featured Replies

First impression on flight out of Orbx  Leeds Bradford not great -

Huge terrain lumps/have appeared and scenery levels all wrong around the airport.

Most disappointing is that the clouds are still very pixelated

I'm not seeing any issues. If you can't share any images, can you provide more detail of the "huge terrain lumps" in case I'm looking for the wrong thing? Perhaps a location relative to the runway or buildings?

OS:     Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU:  MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB]
SSD:  Corsair Force MP510 (for OS);  2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)
HDD:  Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet

Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

It was also mentioned that mods that correct terrain anomalies, now corrected cause issues

not sure how to show images on here as I think it needs access to dropbox or the like

As said above, do you have Orbx London?

I see no pixelated clouds and not seen one terrain spike in the UK.

Please find a way of posting screen shots ty

I have posted some images on the Facebook page - under Richard Collens

What few terrain spikes I had seen in MSFS in the UK, are now gone since the UK update patch, clouds look good (not that there are many over the UK at the moment, it's actually very sunny here). So the UK terrain generally speaking looks reasonably accurate, even around my home town, in spite of it not exactly being a hotbed of photogrammetry coverage.

This is when the Imperial Japanese Navy attacked B&Q at Heaton Norris earlier today; a day which will live in infamy among DIY enthusiasts in the Stockport area:

I had to delete the global elevation fix mods, then the spikes disappeared.

Also check if Photogrammertry and Bing Data is on.
