Oculus Quest 2 flashing / Jumping

Featured Replies

Yep, mine is back too, looks like the view tries to reset itself continuously, so it also resets mouse position while trying to adjust instruments... An immensely frustrating experience.

Ditto....  Worse than ever now. I’d abandon ship and ditch the Quest if only I could get my hands on a G2.

Ok I've cured mine again, and now it's perfect. I found via Google search, a way to install Oculus App v24.And this has fixed it for me brilliantly.

But won’t Oculus force the new update on you, next time you fire it up?

According to the author of the download no. Hopefully that is right. In my case I only use VR for MSFS. I don't have any Apps on headset.

Nice one. I went the other way, and got the Steam version of OpenXR running. It cured the flashing 100%. Trouble is, it has turned the sim into a stutter-fest. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

G2 has other, more serious problems IMO, I sent it back and kept the Q2

Yes, MFS through steam VR was like that, huge relief when I set the oculus runtime in the register and could play without it.
Well, they'll solve it, eventually.

Looks like the released v27 to beta today, seems to have eliminated the flashes.

Has anyone actually tried V27 Beta yet ?

v27 seems to have fixed the flashing, at least for me.
