March 23, 20215 yr I am interested in the Thrustmaster Airbus stick due to the ambedextrious design. It would be very good for warplanes or stick GA like Diamonds and the like. Does anyone have this stick and is it a good value? Thanks
March 23, 20215 yr one extra reason for my purchase was for use as a 'stick' in jet fighters, and other craft using a 'stick'. Also the throttle quad works for twin throttle configurations with reverse thrust...😀

I can clamp my CH on either side of me and I configured the slot buttons to emulate reverse with the detent set at 0. But the twin throttle would be great for twin jets. I would love to have a honeycomb bravo to. I use A2A planes and individual axis are great for those. I wish the Redbirds were less expensive. Would love an actual vernier with push and fine adjust twist.
March 23, 20215 yr I have the Officer Pack (Sidestick and Throttle) and am very happy with both. The stick is very responsive and I immediately adapted to flying left-handed, having only ever used a joystick right-handed before. Until my Fulcrum yoke arrives (in the next few days hopefully), I have been using the stick with all aircraft. It's a much 'firmer' stick than the Thrustmaster Top gun Afterburner FF I used in FS9 and FSX, and that is a very good thing. The only adjustment I had to make was to the throttle sensitivities in MSFS to cure a problem where the two throttles don't match when they are supposed to be at idle. But that was only a few minutes of work, making small adjustments and checking the result when looking at the throttle in the cockpit. March 23, 20215 yr Author I am interested in the DA 62 and correctly doing some of those A2A warbirds. Not much an Airbus guy. Being US I'm partial to Boeings. Want the CS 707.
March 23, 20215 yr It works fine for any aircraft, large or small, prop or jet, even those "Yank things"!😉 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)
March 23, 20215 yr I also have it and use it and don't touch my X-55 anymore .... Well maybe if I get back into DCS.. I really like the feature of locking out the Rotation. sure with all the other ones you just don't assign it but I like that it has a mechanical element that prevents it from twisting. The Two trigger buttons are also nice to haves... Les O'Reilly
March 23, 20215 yr Author I would like it to learn the A319 if I could find a realistic simulation. I have kin folks in Punta Gorda, FLA. If I make the Harrisburg KMDT to Punta Gorda or Fort Meyers flight now I have to use the Allegient MD from FSND but Allegient retired their MDs and now fly A319s solid. No time for Florida IRL but two sim flight hours gets me there virtual 😎😎😎
March 23, 20215 yr IMHO, the TCA stick (and its close analogue the T.16000M) are some of the best low-cost consumer-grade joysticks available. They use no-contact magnetic Hall Effect sensors in the X-Y axes, and the twist axis is very handy to have for steering tiller control when the units are used together with rudder pedals. The stick is not as heavy or mechanically robust as the more expensive metal HOTAS Warthog, but for the gentler usage associated with non-combat sims it's sturdy enough. I've got a 10-year-old T.16000M that's still getting regular use and which has never had any issues. My TCA stick/throttle set is currently getting set up with my portable simming rig used during travel. The throttle unit works very well with the detents enabled and the FSL Airbus in P3D, but needs a bit of configuration work for best results with the detents disabled and other aircraft like the PMDG twins. I picked a used (New in box) one up about 14 months ago. The only caveat I would mention it that it uses Hall Effect Sensors on the Roll & Pitch Axis but regular a cheap crappy potentionometer on the Yaw axis. I was using the Yaw for the tiller but now there is a ton of noise on this axis which makes fine steering adjustments impossible. I tried a few of the online fixes but it didn't fix my issue so I stopped using it for the Yaw axis. YMMV of course Richard i7-12700K | Noctua NH-D15S Black Version | MSI Pro Z690 - A | 32 GB DDR4 3600 | Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090 | 1TB WD Blue NMVe (MSFS 2020) | 500 GB WD Black Gen 4 NVMe | 4TB WD Black Conventional | Fractal Design Torrent Case | Seasonic 1000W Gold Plus PSU | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Honeycomb Throttle | Airbus Side Stick | Virpil Rudder Pedals | Sony X90K 55 Inch TV |
