March 28, 20215 yr Guys...would anyone have a link to a website/s where I can caught up on the latest updates and availability for some of my old 3rd party community mods such as for taxi lighting on certain planes, GPS and cockpit lighting mods, rob youngs bonanza mod, any other flight dynamic mods that may have been released/updated, etc. Dunno if there's one website to find this stuff and to help me keep track of all of it, but I've been away for 6 months and i have no way of knowing what 3rd party stuff has been updated or new stuff which has been released and for which version of the sim it is all compatible with. I was hoping that after 6 months we wouldnt still need to use a spreadsheet to help keep track of 50 different 3rd party mods which fix all the issues in the game...but sadly we haven't come too far since last summer, apparently. I don't want this to become a part time job just to get caught up again...any ideas? Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

March 28, 20215 yr CRJ-550/700 has been released by Aerosoft. BIKF just released a few days ago. - discount if you have already the P3D version. Jude BradleyBeech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry. X-Plane 12 and MSFS2020 🙂 System specs: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, Ubuntu Linux 20.04 i7-13700KF Gigabyte Z790 RTX-4060-Ti , 32GB RAM 1X 2TB M2 for X-Plane 12, 1x256GB SSD for OS. 1TB drive MSFS2020
March 28, 20215 yr Flightsim.to and this site are my usual. Microsoft forums are ok as well. I got the CRJ which I recommend for a very decent shorter range commuter. The Just Flight Arrow is probably the best GA available for msfs right now. There are a few others but some seem overpriced. 7800+4090+64ram Just Flight RJ, 146 and F28, Piper Arrows ---A2A Aerostar and Comanche---Black Square Starship, Duke(s), TBM, Bonanza/BaronV2, KingAir---FSReborn FSR500---COWS Da42---FX P180, HJet & VJet---FlySimWare Chancellor and LearJet---FlightSimStudio EMB175 &P2006T---Fenix 320---PMDG DC6, 737(700+900), 777---C22J---Milviz Cessna 310 & Porter---SimWorksStudios Kodiak, PC12, Zenith & RV14---BigRadials Goose---IndiaFoxEcho MB3339+F35.
March 28, 20215 yr Author CRJ has flight dynamic issues when it comes to handling cross wind approaches & take-offs...this is something I've only been reading about on this forum and have not actually purchased or experienced it myself. Apparently it doesn't have enough rudder authority to perform proper crosswind procedures...this is a common issue with many poorly designed flight models so it's not an unusual find to say the least. Most players don't fly crosswind approaches correctly in the first place so they never realize there's an issue...but it's often there, regardless. If this is a skill one is interested in practicing then any aircraft that ignore this trait should not be used, obviously 🙂 Going to check out the flightsim.to tip...thanks for that one guys! The CRJ does have a few issues with approaches in general but some of these depend on the user as well. I wouldn't trust ILS on it right now and a patch is in the works. There is an issue with it following the GS. I often do crosswind approaches on this and other aircraft and I think its better and more fun to hand fly everything for this anyway. The CRJ is great. It's just some....or many.....users don't have the correct weight or CoG adjusted. Believe me I am guilty of that. The TBM mod and the Working Title Mods (CJ4, G1000, G3/5000) are excellent. I also the 208 mod, Da62, FlybyWire Neo and sometimes the Longitude mod. Pacx, pushback helper, Pilot2ATC and chatter and a lot of scenery mods. I am even considering getting the new Emb 110 from NextGen but it looks like it needs some patching and improvement before I spend 43 bucks. Good luck..CRJ is worth it IMO 7800+4090+64ram Just Flight RJ, 146 and F28, Piper Arrows ---A2A Aerostar and Comanche---Black Square Starship, Duke(s), TBM, Bonanza/BaronV2, KingAir---FSReborn FSR500---COWS Da42---FX P180, HJet & VJet---FlySimWare Chancellor and LearJet---FlightSimStudio EMB175 &P2006T---Fenix 320---PMDG DC6, 737(700+900), 777---C22J---Milviz Cessna 310 & Porter---SimWorksStudios Kodiak, PC12, Zenith & RV14---BigRadials Goose---IndiaFoxEcho MB3339+F35.
March 28, 20215 yr Author Which mods (author names please, or links) for the TBM/208?DA62? Im only asking incase there are multiple authored mods...like i know there used to be multiple mods for the gps stuff so not sure these days whose is best for what, etc. As for the CRJ, or any other model being "worth it"...it's a very subjective and personal opinion. For me, any plane (free or payware) which does not allow me to fly a hands-on manual crosswind approach using proper technique is simply not worth it. But that's me...I'm very particular. For me, practicing approaches and getting accurate weather is a priority. You won't find me trying to kick out a CRJ's tail AFTER t/d in a crosswind situation...doesnt work that way in reality...as it would be too late to kick out at that point. Folks who land it that way are treating it as if it were a 737/747 with a swinging under carriage, when in fact there is none 🙂 Edited March 28, 20215 yr by hangar Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons
March 28, 20215 yr Robert Young for Bonanza G36 . Also working on a DA62 mod, health permitting. (The Nexus Mods site is work bookmarking for other mods too). Working Title have modded aircraft too and have now joined MS/Asobo as contrated developers. March 28, 20215 yr The best mod so far is the WT CJ4. You may have had it when it came out but now it's very complete. The Pro Line 21 is powerful and they've upgraded it with a custom flight plan system (so it's not broken like the rest of the default avionics). https://github.com/Working-Title-MSFS-Mods/fspackages The G3000 is decent too but doesn't yet have the custom flight plan system. I believe Alexander Metzger did some work but is not yet finished with the flight model. Frankly I don't find many planes can handle a slight crosswind in the sim yet. Maybe developers haven't tapped into the full potential yet. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
March 28, 20215 yr I would go to Flightsim.to then look for the most popular TBM performance mod first. On my phone so I can't quite get the link. I would say the best GA aircraft is the Just Flight Arrow right now. 7800+4090+64ram Just Flight RJ, 146 and F28, Piper Arrows ---A2A Aerostar and Comanche---Black Square Starship, Duke(s), TBM, Bonanza/BaronV2, KingAir---FSReborn FSR500---COWS Da42---FX P180, HJet & VJet---FlySimWare Chancellor and LearJet---FlightSimStudio EMB175 &P2006T---Fenix 320---PMDG DC6, 737(700+900), 777---C22J---Milviz Cessna 310 & Porter---SimWorksStudios Kodiak, PC12, Zenith & RV14---BigRadials Goose---IndiaFoxEcho MB3339+F35.
