April 6, 20215 yr Hello all, I am using the flysimware Learjet 35 with the RXP GTN. I know it worked earlier in the year, but all of the sudden i am getting a black screen, and a GTN: failed to open simulation message in the rxpGTN.gau file. I've attempted to do the debug addition, it looks like my debug file is finding a previous version of the GTN, and giving me no information. rxpGTNsim.dll file reads "rxpGtnSim32.dll version 2.5.26.0" Here's some things i have tried: Always kept the GTN updated Uninstall and reinstall - Disabled file checker and added all RXP files to antivirus exclusion Check Garmin Trainer Version (3.0.1.0) - Also installed all avionics emulators, and verified the exe is being run by the discrete graphics Any Ideas of what to do from here?

Unless you also tell us what anti-virus you are using, it will be difficult looking for you online for the anti-virus user's manuals and knowledge based articles. Have you tried searching online with the following keywords: "how to exclude a file [name of your anti-virus]" ? Edited April 7, 20215 yr by RXP

Windows Defender is as or more effective, less intrusive, reportedly consumes less live resources, and it does not require a paid subscription. I have used Defender since late 2015 and augment it with Malware Bytes Premium particularly for added malicious software and ransomware protection. I believe in a couple of polls here and elsewhere over the past couple of years that combination has found predominant use with few side effects. That said, there is still an occasional file that gets wrongly identified when the world virus database updates its virus file signatures. So be certain you have found the correct settings location in your AV for creating an exception. April 7, 20215 yr @cartersauce you're not configuring the right files (hint: wrong path) This is explained, and illustrated, in the dedicated topic: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/522608-trojan-virus-false-positive/?do=findComment&comment=4476792 Edited April 7, 20215 yr by RXP
