I might have the solution for all our ATC services

I came across this article today https://www.hindawi.com/journals/complexity/2020/1659103/

This would be something Asobo can outsource to BlackBox AI and solve most ATC issue with the game. Using Machine learning instead of the FSX archaic code.

We don't even have VNAV in MSFS. Also lets not forget this game launched with fake taxiway letters....in a flightsim. Call me pessimistic but Asobo isnt doing this. We have a great community though which made FS9 Great, FSX great, and on......

Asobo gave us a beautiful sim. It will get there eventually on the backs of this community!

Hmmmm...  What are the chances that the A team will acknowledge a problem with their ATC and outsource it?😉

If only Asobo was partner with a company that specialize in Machine Learning....hmmmmm

Thank you for sharing this!

I was wondering something similar not long ago too:

Speaking of improving the default ATC:

  • I’d bet we’ll get voice recognition in FS2020 maybe even sooner than expected. I’m inferring this from some of the breadcrumbs I can spot in the deliverables (therefore this is not any insider information whatsoever but just something I believe they’re already trying).

  • I’d venture to imagine the partnership with Vatsim might also serve another purpose: training AI based on actual human ATC so that both could blend together and you get wider coverage with AI supplementing the network where there is no human controller available.

I wouldn’t hope they’ll confirm or deny this in the Q&A, but I find these topics interesting nonetheless.

Great Mind think alike. If you want to start a new project....

Simple solution to this problem: VATSIM, PilotEdge, etc.

If it were possible to create automated ATC, the FAA and their counterparts the world over would dearly wish to speak with the developers. This is a really hard problem, not amenable to an easy "fix" within the confines of a desktop sim, no matter how elegantly implemented.

Cheers.

I mean, they're already working with a bunch of third parties for other parts of the sim.
