A Cirrus SR22GT with a working CAP system was released by Eaglesoft nearly a decade ago for FS2004 and still works in FSX and P3Dv2, IIRC.

I spent many many hours working on that release.

If I was ATC, I would’ve questioned as to who ‘dropped the parachute’. 
Did somebody throw a parachute out the window?
Did he see somebody carrying a special one over the tarmac and they dropped it?
Did an airplane have a bomb bay and he noticed they had opened the doors so he reported they had ‘dropped’ a chute for somebody?
Oh! Do you mean they DEPLOYED their emergency parachute?
