Issue with New Nvidia Driver and PMDG NGXu

466.27 is perhaps the BEST driver I can ever remember having.  I fly V5 smoothly with no stutters and beautifully completed flights.  I will be reluctant to change to the new one.  I don't know what makes this driver so reliable and consistent, but it is!  I have almost all my sliders to the right and even my road traffic is at 80%.  I also use UT Traffic Live and this driver compatibly delivers.  Now, Windows 10 had 2 major updates during the time I'm using this driver, and maybe that has something to do with this driver working so well.  My computer company, Jetline, also remotely connected to my computer, and the technician, Ken, deleted lots of garbage and temporary files from my system.  Additionally, he checked the overall health of the system with his diagnostic tools.  Computer now runs like new, and this 466.27 driver works flawlessly.

Agreed, I have also had a very good experience so far with that driver.

Same here, even flying with VR works flawlessly here too.

Did you install the Nvidia HD Audio Driver also? I did not do this and have no sound issues at all.

I honestly can´t tell you. But just wanted to point out in a direction to search a possible solution or cause.

My personal policy is, the less is installed on my whole PC, the better (avoid conflicts etc.). I really keep my PC very clean and only necessary software and drivers are installed.

So maybe these drivers are conflicting? If you want, you can just reinstall the Nvidia driver without the HD audio driver.

Another thing is, that after a MS Windows update often the following is necessary to to:

- Go to Taskbar right down corner and right mouse click on the "speaker/volume Icon

- In the menu which pops up click on "Sounds"

- In the opened window Click on TAB "Communications"

- Select "Mute all other devices" click "Apply" AND

- Select "Do nothing" and click "OK"

- Finished

This is the basic windows functionality which can influence some applications are getting muted or not. These can cause P3D volume is getting very low and GSX or other Apps are therefor getting/feeling much louder (when the general volume is set louder to hear anything at all).

I hope this will help you out.

I´m interested if this helped you.....if you like, report back.

Marcus
