It is illogical to buy a device with an outdated database that is not tied to the simulator.

the unit take control of gauge (like HSI) and autopilot based on its own database, it doesn't really need to use simulator database (so it is not so a problem to have both not in sync)
And procedures and frequencies don't chanqe each month, differences are not so big.

And it depends the need of each, it is not a "logical" question. I prefer a unit with all functionnalities and total fidelity than something that just looks like but more closer to the sim. For others, it will be different. The main is to have the choice.

and i don't care cause i have possibility to update my garmin database as i want (and not by downloading them on illegal site)

Oh, so the wx radar is inop for now.  Was this written in C++?  If so, it'll be a while.
