LOL click bait title to this thread if ever there was one. The Asobo 787 is just so bad. Can’t even taxi properly, let alone fly.🤣

it ain’t got nothing on the FBW A320.🤣🤣🤣

Hello,

Who said the FlyByWire Simulations team has been busting their butts-off to make LNAV working? Do you know that they have completely scrapped the whole code just to make it from scratch without even using the code written by Asobo? Do you know that they are trying to make it work with Navigraph (Free/Subscription) + NavBlue? There are a lot of things they need to get done before even considering making something to work.

Also, you are completely wrong. Just because the B737 made an LNAV working, that doesn't make their airplane better than the A320neo. You've got two different airplanes with way different cockpits and systems you are not aware of.

not B737 sorry

Andreas Stangenes,

Thanks for the link and to the mods who put it all together. The mod is a huge improvement in the aircraft. It makes it much more pleasurable to fly for sure. Thank God for the mods.

So the limited nose wheel steering is now fixed?

I dont know how the mod behaved before, but from my experience with THIS iteration, I would venture to say no 🙂

It does feel like going direct-to any waypoint along the route will kill lnav. I've had some success getting it back on lnav, but it's a bit hit or miss. Putting it in heading mode before doing the direct to, and then letting it pass the waypoint you set a direct to might get it back on lnav.

To bad,so you are limited to starting.and ending your flight on the runway,me thinks that would be a priority...........

Well, I wouldnt say that... I am perfectly able to taxi it to and from a gate. Just be aware that the efficacy of the nosewheel turnrate on the airplane body is reduced when you go full deflection left or right. The plane will instead skid forward when the nosewheel is full left or right. So use a middle ground on the nose to turn more efficiently. Also, dont go much faster than 11 knots in a turn.

I wonder way somone would want to buy CS777 when they can fly this. But each to there own.

My guess is that not everyone owns the Premium Deluxe version.

Ok, just had a one-on-one session with the 787 modders, and the lnav issue is fixed. In the FMC there is an option under configuration that has to do with flight plan syncing to the sim world menu. If you set that option to "on", it will bug out your lnav whenever you do a direct-to. Turn it off, and lnav works like a charm 🙂

Good to see some progress on this aircraft, because there is absolutely nothing premium despite being part of the premium package. But if there is some resemblance of a better lnav without resorting to heading mode all the time to fix the screw up, then gotta give it a try. Vnav doesnt matter right now. Can easily manage that with V/S.

The nosewheel steering is annoying, but I think this could be locked from being fixed or else it wouldve been done by now.
