June 12, 20214 yr simply fully uninstalled 5.1 & fully installed 5.2 to same P3D directory, worked a treat!

June 13, 20214 yr I assume for those who don't use the addon xml method for all addons - we need to make a backup of the scenery.cfg file? And maybe also the terrain.cfg? Anything else? Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs

Anything else? Backup at minimum: C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\ add-ons.cfg scenery.cfg scenery_add-ons.xml and %appdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\add-ons.cfg. What helps is if most of your addons are via xml.

Helps to create backups of current versions before overwriting (renaming the existing works just fine in case you need to revert). Keep us posted on progress Kind regards
