Did you want a big explosion?

But yes it was. I turned it off. 😁 We will have to wait for Elon's next failed launch.

Nearly three hours of ho-hum tedium, wrapping 34 seconds of some "excitement" as the 747 took off, and a few seconds more as the rocket was launched.

You might wait for a while. But they were exciting. It took me back to the Apollo program like nothing had since. I want to watch Jeff Bezo's flight live. (Of course, I wish him the best.)

What "were" exciting Tim? Elons flights are most definately exciting. We are saying this Virgin satalite wasn't.

Elon's flights were exciting. Virgin didn't look too exciting. Here's hoping we wait a while until another "exciting" hard landing.

"Successful" is probably more desirable than "exciting" in the space industry.

Absolutely! "Did you want an explosion?" was my facetious question to   n4gix when he said it was boring. I personally obviously don't want that to be an occurrence. I'm routing for SpaceX success.
