Ctd after new installation

Featured Replies

Good morning,

this forum is my last help. I am getting crazy.

coming from the beta testing i decided to siwtch back to the official release.

installation went without problems. But everytime i start msfs after the blackshark ai screen, where the castle shows up i get a ctd.

There was a message relateted to ga game sync or something like this but this message disappeared now.

i tried everything. deleting everything related to msfs, reinstalling, resetting the store and game pass etc.

nothing works.

Any „last“ idea from you, gentlemen ?

thanks, Carsten

If you disconnect all your USB controllers, will then MSFS start properly?
If so, it might be related to bad controller profiles, which are synced with the cloud everytime you start MSFS.

tried it but still not working. there open kind of a window named "game userinterface" and it is installing , or trying to installing, something and then the sim crashes.

EDIT: I installed the latest Beta again and the sim works.. it seems to be related to the Beta.........

I sure hope they fix that before they release that beta to the rest of us.

Didn't Asobo say that if you signed up for the Beta, there would be problems if you returned to the release version, so you you effectively had to stay with the Beta until it releases general release?

That is correct. The Beta changes the Save Game file system and it is not compatible with an older version. That was stated clearly when signing up for the Beta testing.

I understand there can be no reveal from the beta testers but I am hopeful this may indicate a Save Game feature that adds more depth to the saved flight, and OH YES, even a feature to autosave at intervals during a flight...

I should of been in the Beta as a participant of the previous beta's unfortunately Asobo/MS went against their promise that we'd get an automatic invite, so I'm not breaking any NDA.
