Update failed, can't load MSFS

And it crashes during the very early phases of loading, before even getting to the XBOX splash screen.  Finally uninstalled a previously flawless install since initial deployment, resintalled, same crash.  Signed in and out of MS Store, XBOX app, XBOX Console Companion, all to no avail.  I will try contacting support tomorrow and see what happens.

I had that issue.

In my case it turned out to be Process Lasso which now seems to be completely incompatible with MSFS.

You need to kill process lasso it on Windows start or it still runs its core process.

I have the same problem, but without PL. That app never was on my devel computer.

MSFS gets stuck on the very first black window. So I learned that when you uninstall MSFS, the entire package folder is just removed from AppData/Local/Packages, including things that were not part of the initial install. That behavior of an uninstaller  is quite unexpected (to me), and has cost me a fair bit of development work.

LORBY-SI

mine stuck at 20.68GB so I just killed MSFS restarted the computer and tried again.  It then completed the download.

It came from using PL w/ P3D but I just never disabled it.  I do change priority to High for MSFS, plus exclude some cores that I let other processes use exclusively, so I do use it in similar fashion for MSFS.  Plus, sometimes I use the bar graph of CPU core use just to observe what is happening.  In fact I requested the dev to make the bar graph a standalone applet and he said he would that one can display discreetly as desired to look at per core or per LP utilization.

Since Gameshop update 600 MB only black starting screen, no further respond and FlightSimulator.exe in task manager is inactive. Xbox Reset and new install, Gaming Service reset and repair, audio driver reset no help at all, only black simulator opening screen.I have no process lasso, additional firewall or other software which is on the list as influencing MSFS. Community foldder is empty - same as my brain, has anybody an idea, what can I do except complete uninstall?
