Lots of Aliaising/Blurry Textures in SU5

Featured Replies

I tried to fly again, few minutes ago but I gave up after 5 minutes. Right now, MSFS 2020 looks like very different product.

How's is this for cartoon looking? Looks like someone spilled water over a water color painting.

Are you talking about the clouds or about the ground? Or the distant terrain?

Clouds I cannot see any major difference, but then again there is a lot of variety, so hard to compare.
The ground is just bad satellite photography, has been there before and probably always will in some areas. Nothing that changed with the update.
The distant terrain, well that's exactly what LOD 200 looked before, so...

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Post a screenshot from SU4 that you think looks worse in SU5 and I will try to recreate it and post it.

Please, upload some screenshots with 2-3 different cloud presets

What's your PC's specs ? Resolution ? Graphics settings ?

The textures are super blurry on my end as well.  Might just be that their servers are getting hammered.  But could also be another deliberate design choice to optimize performance.  Anyone from the Beta want to drop a hint?

Where are you seeing the green? It's grey-purple, which it always has been.

Now, the look awful. Horrible

That's you just repeating stuff. That's not proof of any kind. I showed you they look the same.
