MSFS is "as good as it gets" in more ways than one. There's just too big of a back catalog of add-ons that are still compatible with a 22-year-old mature platform. LM is a 100 billion dollar company--certainly not in Microsoft or Elon Musk's league, but probably not worried too much whether we happen to be playing with it or not. It's a decent PR niche with military training applications, and I not only think it's hear to stay, but the market abhors a vacuum. Once the dew is off the MSFS rose and the gloom and doom machine starts getting rusty, I think we'll see enough from third-party devs. It's the freeware artists I'm more concerned about.
