FBW A320 Midfield FPS Hit

Featured Replies

Anybody notice the midfield FPS hit FBW A320 when landing? The Salty 747 does not. it goes from 30 licked to teens...then goes back up?

Chris Chiozza

I do not observe that at all. I've done at least 5 or more flights recently. FPS is steady through out the flight.

Interesting, it does it everytime for me. Maybe reinstall. Which version you on?

FWB Development version. Just completed SVMI-SKRG moments ago (wow that approach in inclement weather at night !! )  same frame rates from gate to gate. 100% smooth experience. 👍

Great, Maybe hv to reinstall

Development version.  I have this problem, as soon as you are about to rotate on takeoff it becomes a momentary slideshow.  Same when you get toward the end of your roll on landing, doesn't seem to matter what airport but its worse at bigger airports. A320NX seems to be acting odd.  Annunciations on the MFD don't seem to be working correctly after SU5.  The throttle positions seem to be off too.  Normally, when climbing out ill get OPN CLB with the throttle at the CL detent, but right now I'm not getting SPEED hold even though it's armed and A/THR is on with selected speed at the CL detent. If I bring the throttle back from CL into the A/THR range I'll get SPEED and a blinking white THR CLB.  I didn't used to do that and I'm pretty sure its incorrect.  When I bring the throttle back that far it won't hold speed speed decreases until I have to go to TOGA power. I'm not sure if this all the upper air temp glitch or there is something wrong with the FBW A320 after the up date.    Also, the throttle range on my joystick used to be 0+ to Full throttle but now the range is full reverse to full throttle, which is annoying when taxiing. The stable version acts somewhat strange but the throttle range is normal.  The blinking button textures sure are strange.  I'm hoping for a new stable version,  Normally, I use development version, but after SU5 it's all screwy. For me.  I have tried complete uninstall and reinstall and still have the same issue.

Did 3 flights so far and it was rock solid capped at 30fps...This performance degradation used to happen with me before the SU5 hotfix. Im using the developer version...try rolling back you driver. I rolled back to an older Nvidia Driver and my freezing and CTD's have gone.
