August 11, 20214 yr Not sure if this is entirely possible…But is there a way to get the Honeycomb Alpha Light switches and their corresponding keybinds to properly function with “3 way” switches? For instance, in the TBM…The Taxi Lights, and Landing Lights are on a 3 way switch, with the OFF position being the third position. I want to be able to position the switch to the Taxi position when I use the Taxi Light switch on my alpha, and then to the off position when I turn the Taxi Light switch off with my Alpha. Same thing for the Landing Lights. I have not been successfully able to get this working with all of the different combinations of keybinds I’ve tried…so I’m taking a shot in the dark here that maybe someone has and could provide some insight. Thanks!
August 11, 20214 yr The only command that seems to work on my Alpha is "Set Taxi Lights" "set taxi light on" and off commands doesn't work for me, but I have only bindings for GA, with TBM and Jet aircrafts I use my mouse System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

I’ve tried that exact same thing yesterday and could not get it to work properly, so i will also use the mouse, and I’ve toggled my other switches (land, taxi) to perform anti ice functions. I have previously had this issue with other brand flight controls in FSX/P3D as well, particularly with the model-unique two stage landing lights in some Milviz aircraft models. I believe the first stage is to lower the landing lights into place and the second stage to illuminate them. No way I am aware of a way with an off/on switch to overcome what is coded into the aircraft model. Assume that applies to the mentioned MSFS models as well. I believe at one time Fr. Bill sent me some Linda codes I could use for their 310R but I am not proficient in that type of coding so I continued to use my mouse. Wonder if similar coding could work where needed in MSFS. August 11, 20214 yr I'm using SPAD for my hardware but this is how I have my Taxi/Landing light switch setup: Landing lights switch - LANDING_LIGHTS_TOGGLE (for both on/off) Taxi lights switch - TOGGLE_TAXI_LIGHTS (for both on/off) I'll flip the switch for taxi lights when I'm taxing. Then when I'm lined up for takeoff, I'll flip the taxi light switch off and the landing lights switch on. Reverse for when you land and when you're taxing to the gate/parking. I have gotten the lights out of sync before and when that happened, I just toggled through both lights and eventually got things back in sync. I need to go through these again though as I've learned better how simconnect variables worlk. Hope this helps.
August 12, 20214 yr The Saitek switch boxes have similar issues mapping to some aircraft. Another example is both the C140 and C170 in game. Both aircraft in real life (and game) use a single switch to connect the electrics and enable the generator with a single click of the switch. Hence in the real aircraft there are only two options "Master and Generator both ON" or "Master and Generator both OFF" . Of course the Honeycomb allows one to be ON and the other OFF at the same time which really messes with the electrics in the game.
