That's because the new functionality was only released earlier today.

So the latest experimental branch works?

Worked wonderfully until I got close to CYUL and was given the approach by ATC. Entered it in to the flight plan and things went haywire. Guess it's not quite ready yet, hence it being in the experimental branch. I've gone back to the development branch for now

I have just come off a flight using the latest Dev version and experienced a similar thing. While flying the flight plan, entered in the approach in the FMS and the bus immediately started a banking off track for no reason at all. I had to catch it with HDG and then got it back on the flight path with a direct to the next waypoint. Was fine after that. So that bug is in the Dev too.

It's not quite right yet though.... STAR into EHAM went pear shaped. Litterally.😀

It does sometimes but it flies the STAR correctly regardless. It is only the path drawn sometimes messed up

yeah I believe that's a base sim bug.

Gave it a try. Used the World Map to plan the flight (CYOW -> CYUL, IFR High Altitude).

That will happen on the Dev branch too occasionally. It's a base sim bug IIRC, it will happen to any aircraft.

I'm aware of that, but in this case, it really went haywire. Way worse than what the Dev branch does (which still uses the base sim FMS). In short, the new path on the ND was very weird and didn't even point to the "via" waypoint. Also, the heading switched to selected instead of managed, and I could not change it at all, nor switch it back to managed. Tried to do a direct to the "via" waypoint, but it CTD's a few seconds after that. Gave up and went back to the Dev branch.

C'est la vie. It's a work in progress. It's why it's called the experimental branch. I'll give it another try once an official announcement is made.
