August 26, 20214 yr Author I have always had stutters here and there with P3D but this is nothing compare to what I am experiencing now. these periodic stutters when they start to appear make the sim totally unplayable. Stop one sec every 3 seconds I have never had this issue before 5.2. will investigate FPS limitations as well.
August 26, 20214 yr Moderator @cmdn, v5 is a very different animal to v4 and puts a heavier load on the GPU. Without knowing your graphics card and resolution I can't help you. August 26, 20214 yr Author @Ray Proudfoot here are my specs RTX 3080 I710700KF 2 *16 go DDR4 I tried to set 30hz /30 fps but honestly I am not a big fan (panning around gets weird ..) I got an oled TV with hdmi 2.1 at 120hz.

Trying to redraw over 8 million pixels 60 times a second is unlikely to work smoothly. Just as a test try 30fps. Use Nvidia CP for that setting. Your TV should support that frequency. There should be an improvement. Keep VSync on in P3D and set fps to unlimited. Ray (Cheshire, England). What do you think about these options.

Leave it at its default setting. Leave VRR alone. Let’s keep things simple. Have you set your TV to 30Hz? That’s critical. Ray (Cheshire, England). August 26, 20214 yr Author Boats, vehicules are to yo 0 in P3d. Actually all my settings are set to medium I need to do a test flight with 30fps /30hz. How efficient would be 60 hz /30 fps and half refresh rate? I am going to try to reinstall client and content to see if that make a difference
August 26, 20214 yr Moderator @cmdn, what airports are causing issues? Large only or even medium 3rd party like Manchester? We really need more info about your testing. Default or 3rd party airports? Did you try a flight with a default aircraft? Did things Improve? Can you provide screenshots of your settings? Ray (Cheshire, England). August 26, 20214 yr Author Things are fine with default aircraft but I believe I should do some more testing as I don't fly long enough. Stutters usually happen after a certain amount of time; sometimes when I start descending or at about 10000 ft. actually I am not sure that the 3rd party airports are causing issues cause when I depart I don't have this problem at all. Today was LTFM EDDF, no stutter at all until about 120000 ft 40 nm from EDDF then it became impossible to fly. I usually fly from and to big airports (EDDF, LTFM, LFPG) I tried to change every single setting today when the stutters started to appear but nothing has changed. restarting the sim seems the only way. And again Never had this issue in p3d5 hf1. https://ibb.co/mtkwRhJhttps://ibb.co/WFtvtZThttps://ibb.co/LNNZ3z9
August 26, 20214 yr Have you tried with all AI disabled? What you're describing sure looks like Simconnect interface overloading/saturation--AI acft on the ground become visible to the sim as you descend--large numbers of them on busy airports, and having a bunch of third-party AI utilities means you are then pushing a lot of AI data to each of them via Simconnect. A fair bit of third-party panel interfacing is also done via Simconnect, so it would not be a surprise that panel functions which incorporate a real-time feedback loop (like the FSL autopilot) might be affected. I've had problems with some of the AI management utilities you mentioned in the OP running in P3D before. I manage AI using the FSUIPC integrated limiter and the P3D sliders only. August 26, 20214 yr Author @w6kd very interesting, this might be the issue. Actually I have always run my AI at 100%. I am going to try without.
August 26, 20214 yr Moderator Ai gets generated 80nm out from airports. There is a noticeable stutter when this happens. Major airports like EGLL, EDDM, LFPG etc will generate many Ai. To check if there’s a VOR at the airport tune it in when 100nm away and monitor things. There are offsets in P3D that hold the count of Ai in the air and on the ground. I can provide details on how to monitor this if you have a registered version of FSUIPC6. PS. Your settings look fine. I do have a registered version of FSUIPC, perhaps I could also use the traffic limiter. Any advice on how to make it look realistic? (AI is quite important don’t want to “lose” too much traffic.

(AI is quite important don’t want to “lose” too much traffic. What package? AIG? If so it generates a lot and does need capping. @w6kdmentioned using FSUIPC to do that. I’ll give you details tomorrow on how to see how many are generated. From your earlier description it does sound like an Ai issue. Ray (Cheshire, England).
