Sim Skunk Works teases its Lockheed F-104G Starfighter

Not sure how to take that... I'm sure you did see something quite cool, but perhaps you misremembered what the aircraft was (or maybe it was what Glenn said above).

I'm guilty of that. I was regaling a friend of mine about an F-14 Tomcat airshow demo I saw, but kept referring to the plane as an Eagle. He was a bit confused when I mentioned the fast pass with the wings swept. 😉

...jim

I'm not sure what is more confusing... the fact that something that he posted in a positive way suddenly became an ordeal to him, or the fact that you pointed out that an F-117 doesn't have an afterburner makes you the bad guy. 🤪

You're absolutely right, I'm lying about the whole ordeal.......................

What a weird response.

Does it howl like a proper Starfighter?

That’s the deal maker / breaker for me too.

Hi,

A short update today regarding the ongoing development of the F-104G Starfighter for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Sim Skunk Works, the development studio behind this project, has revealed that the Starfighter will presumably be available until the end of October.

The TF-104 Starfighter is almost ready to be released. Day one for me 😍
Sim Skunk Works est sur le point de sortir enfin son Lockheed TF-104 Starfighter. Sim Skunk Works has been sharing some development updates about its Starfighter, and the latest one is very promising in a few areas. Only some final polishments remain, concerning lighting, sounds, and a few small adjustments here and there. Some news...

Hopefully the crew chief wipes off at least some of those fingerprints from the canopy before handing it over to us...

I was put off the Hawk by its pitching. No way a Red arrows team would do what they do with that senitive pitching.

But this looks rock soiled and a stunning aircraft, this will be my mil jet withing MSFS. So Glad I  held out.

So Glad also they made the mirrors folderable, hate them in MSFS ( Milviz FG, take note)

O yes please....O them wings......short! lol

Nice to get an update! Realistically I'd guess an early December release. Doesn't change the fact that this is a day one purchase for me.

Hi guys! I don't know if I post this in right place or not but I got a question. Since the flaps on the SSW tf104 won't extend by hitting the F8 key how do I extend the flaps? Thanks!

           Cheers,

     Vincent

Try F6 and F7. That's the keyboard defaults on my installation.

I tried F6 and F7. The flaps will stay extended when I keep holding the F7 key down. Now what? Question for you, will there be more functionality in SSW F-104 like the working armament panel, and the working cabin pressurization panel, ect?

Hi guys! I found why the flaps is not working. It is caused by the other USB devices conflicting with the keyboard.

Guys! I got a question for you, I am wondering if the armament and the cabin pressurization panels on the ssw tf104 will work eventually?
